IT Support Engineer

We presently require an experienced IT Support Engineer to join our growing company. This is an integral role within our IT team and will involve a range of responsibilities, aiding with the provision of IT infrastructure services including desktop, network, security and telecommunications.

Key Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Infrastructure Analyst, this role requires an individual with a positive attitude and a drive to aid with the continual improvement of IT to support CA Group's ongoing company development.  It will involve ensuring that the IT systems are secure and robust at all times, providing departmental performance reports, managing and tracking service desk requests, budget tracking and reporting, development of IT documentation, policies and procedures. It will also include participating and contributing to continuous improvement activities throughout the company, liaising with other departments to develop and enhance the current IT systems, management of third-party suppliers, as well as providing strategic input into the future direction of IT within the company. Additional duties may be required, appropriate to the nature and level of the job role. 

Salary negotiable depending on experience.

The following knowledge, skills and experience are required for this role:

Microsoft desktop support, Microsoft server support (2008 +, Exchange, Active Directory), VMWare administration, VEEAM backup, SAN Administration (Nimble preferred), bg Network (TCP/IP, administration of network switches, firewall administration - Cisco Meraki preferred). 

Third-party relationship management, business continuity, disaster recovery planning, budget management and control.  

Excellent communication, organisational and customer service skills are required as well as experience of working in a customer service environment. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment would be advantageous.

Due to some internal personnel movement within CA Group, we now have a vacancy for an HR Officer. This is a generalist role that brings with it a varied mix of day-to-day tasks that range from recruitment through to occupational health management, as well as providing professional HR advice and support to managers and personnel and positively contributing to how our HR procedures are operated in line with our company policies. Other responsibilities include:

  • Delivering a high level of HR service to support the business through continued growth

  • Autonomy to take the lead on certain HR processes, whilst working closely with Senior Managers and Directors

Apprentice Field Services Engineer

We are looking for an apprentice, who will be trained by the Company as a Field Services Engineer. Under the supervision of the Field Services Manager, you will receive the appropriate on-the-job training and support to enable you to gain the necessary knowledge and skills. This training will be combined with attending further education to study for an appropriate qualification.

Key Responsibilities:

Carrying out such tasks and duties as directed by the Technical & Engineering Manager and Technical Director that are designed to develop levels of performance and competence, with the aim to progress to Field Services Engineer. 

The Company will provide all relevant training required for the role. It will involve becoming proficient in all aspects of Field Service support to:

  • Interpret technical drawings and specification
  • Produce installation guidance/instruction
  • Updating and amending existing technical documentation
  • Understanding construction methods and processes

We are looking for an apprentice to work within the company’s Technical Department. The candidate could be either in full time or part-time further education in an engineering discipline, but not essential. All engineering disciplines; BIM, architectural, electrical, mechanical and civil will be considered. The successful candidate will be trained by the Company to become a qualified Technical Engineer.

Under the supervision of the Technical & Engineering Manager, you will receive the appropriate on-the-job training and support to enable you to gain the necessary knowledge and skills. This training will be combined with attending further education to study for an appropriate qualification.

Assistant Management Accountant

We have a vacancy for an Assistant Management Accountant within our busy accounts department. Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, this role requires the below skills and experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in the computation of the various company accounts and monthly financial reports, both the P&L and the Balance Sheet.
• Calculate monthly accruals, prepayments and depreciation.
• Maintain accurate fixed asset registers.
• Input financial data to the monthly Management Information Packs to given deadlines, and provide variance analysis and commentary as          appropriate.
• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly forecasts.
• Develop product costing and subsequent profitability analysis within the manufacturing division.

Knowledge, Skills & Experience

Monthly management accounting experience, preferably within industry/manufacturing (desirable)
Experience of financial modelling, and proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
Extensive exposure to computerised accounting systems, preferably in an ERP context.

Reporting directly to the Technical & Engineering Manager, this role requires the experience of dealing with customers, specifiers and main contractors at all levels. You will be one of the key drivers of innovation and product excellence and have the use of in-house technical systems and software whilst providing support to various projects and in-house departments. Quantity Surveyor - CA Roofing Services

Reporting to the Surveying Manager the post holder will take responsibility for a wide range of commercial projects within our busy contracting division.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparing and agreeing valuations with clients and ensuring payments are received in accordance with subcontract agreements 
  • Preparing accurate take off of material quantities from drawings 
  • Follow procedures to ensure proper allocation of job cost

It is essential that the successful candidate has extensive experience performing maintenance operations on conventional machines (Lathes / Milling Machinery).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics and computer-generated reports.
  • Confer with engineers/contractors and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions and provide technical information.
  • Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation.
