Responsible to: CA Roofing Services
Responsible for: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be a key member of the project team, responsible for managing aspects of the commercial and contractual activities on the assigned sections of the project. Your expertise will play a crucial role in ensuring the project's financial success and delivering it to the highest standards of quality, within budget and on schedule.
Job Summary/Key Responsibilities:
> Preparation and submission of valuations
> Preparation of accurate take offs from drawings
> Pricing of contract variations
> Preparation of subcontractor payment certificates
> Control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities
> Issue of subcontract enquiries, compare quotes, undertake negotiations and place comprehensive orders
> Site visits to assess progress against plan (When required)
> General administration duties within the Quantity Surveying Department
> Setting up and inputting data to standard spreadsheets for Cost Value Reconciliation
> Monthly valuations
> Liaising with the main Contractor’s QS for certification and instructions
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
> Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a similar financial discipline desirable but not essential

Job Summary/Key Responsibilities
> To interpret technical drawings and specifications
> To use specialist computer software to produce technical drawings to use for construction
> To update and amend existing drawings
> To understand construction methods and processes
> To become conversant with and apply the requirements of the QA procedures and drawing office systems
> To become conversant with the specification, estimating and enquiry drawings forming the basis of an order
> To prepare drawing work as required achieving approval, material take-off and installation needs in line with the agreed project programme
> To undertake scheduling and ordering of all materials to suit the agreed project programme
> To attend design and site meetings with Senior Draughtsperson as required
> To prepare a weekly progress report for the Contracting Design Manager
> To participate in training and improvement initiatives
> To assist the Drawing Office Management Team as required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
> Ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines
> To work as part of a team whilst displaying own initiative
> An understanding of construction methods is desirable
> Experience with using Autocad or other similar software is desirable
> Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills
> Excellent IT skills

Job Summary/Key Responsibilities
> Preparing and agreeing valuations with clients and ensuring payments are received in accordance with subcontract agreements
> Preparing accurate take off of material quantities from drawings
> Follow procedures to ensure proper allocation of job cost
> Pricing of contract variations
> Preparing subcontractor payment certificates, calculation and allocation of subcontractor payments and updating spreadsheets accordingly
> Assist in the control of supply chain ensuring full visibility of liabilities
> Issue of subcontract enquiries, comparison of quotes, undertake negotiations and placing of comprehensive orders
> Contribute to the formulation of monthly financial reports
> Negotiation and agreement of final accounts with main contractor QS
> Cash flow forecasting across all contracts to project company turnover
> Liaising with estimating, design, purchasing and contracts teams to ensure any changes and potential cost overspends are identified as soon as practicable, ensuring costs are recovered and future overspends avoided wherever possible
> Working with the Commercial Manager to provide cost control and reporting on individual contracts, as well as overview and cost management of all contracts for CA Roofing Services division
> Supervision and training of Assistant/Trainee QS
> General administration duties as required
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
> Confident personality with the ability to communicate across all disciplines and at all levels within the organisation
> Previous experience of working for a specialist sub-contractor essential
> Cladding knowledge preferred
> Pro-active, flexible approach with an ability to work to deadline

Responsible to: Estimating Manager
Responsible for: A Draughtsman is responsible for design co-ordination for own projects, producing layouts, detailed drawings and schedules of materials. As well as carrying out site measurements and surveys when required.
Job Summary/Key Responsibilities
> Producing layouts and detailed drawings
> Producing material schedules inline with tender allowances
> Raise any variation works on the project to the commercial team
> Co-ordination for own projects
> Carry out site measurements, surveys and assessment of our clients requirements
> Attend design team meetings as required
> Review project specifications, providing technical layouts, details and estimates in support of tendering and quotation activities
> Identify and meet client requirements and expectations
> Deliver strong performance to sustain effective client relationships
> Creation of accurate technical documentation
> Evaluate, organise and prioritise work within the overall project schedule and client requirements
> Project management duties
Knowledge, Skills & Experience
> Ability to understand and meet the needs of customers (both internal and external)
> Display effective organisation skills with an ability to prioritise workload to meet deadlines(both internal and external)
> Experience within the roofing and cladding/façade sector
